Confirm permission and the right input

Open the recording page over HTTPS, or use a supported localhost preview. Allow microphone access only on a site you intend to use. Check the browser and operating-system input settings, especially after connecting a USB headset or Bluetooth device. A permission prompt does not confirm that the intended microphone was selected.

If access is denied, review the site’s permission setting. Do not repeatedly dismiss prompts or disable browser security to make recording work.

Record and play a short test

1. Record a normal sentence, a louder phrase and a pause.
2. Stop recording and wait for the final captured data.
3. Play the result through headphones.
4. Confirm both the beginning and the end were captured.
5. Check where the file is saved and whether you can open it again.

On the Noise Remover page, recording is capture first, processing afterwards. It does not provide live noise cancellation to a different call or streaming application.

Keep the recording stable

Use a quiet room, a stable microphone support and a consistent speaking position. Avoid changing inputs, disconnecting headphones or switching audio routes during a take. Interruptions and background-tab restrictions depend on the browser and device, so do not assume a long recording will continue reliably after the screen locks.

Record important work in manageable sections and verify each saved section. Keep a separate backup method where losing a take would be costly.

A supported format is not a guaranteed recording

Browsers may produce different containers and codecs. Developers can check MediaRecorder.isTypeSupported(), but available resources still affect recording. Users should verify the actual saved file rather than rename its extension.

If an upload is rejected, keep the original and check the accepted inputs. Use a real conversion tool only when necessary; repeated lossy conversion can add damage.

Review before submitting for cleanup

Remove accidental private speech and confirm you have permission to process the recording. In Studio, check your allowance and use the recording only when you are ready to send it. Compare the processed result against the source, especially quiet words and pauses.

If the source already sounds clear, do not apply stronger cleanup merely to produce a visually smaller waveform. See how loudness affects comparisons.
